Occupational Health Services

Early injury management service

Workplace injuries and illnesses are a fact of life and can occur at any time. So why be unprepared? Especially when there’s a simple, effective way to make your injured or ill workers get the care they need, when they need it.

InitialCARE, our 24/7/365 early injury management service, is your first line of defence against injuries and illnesses giving your workers the care they need, without delay, with just one call.

How It Works

STEP 1

Nurse Triage

InitialCARE provides 24/7 telephonic nurse triage support at the moment an injury or illness occurs, so your workers are channelled to the most appropriate level of care.

All nurses are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, specifically trained and experienced in providing triage services and advice on workplace injuries that support your employee to recover at work or get back to work.

STEP 2

Practitioner Treatment Network

If the injured or ill worker needs to see a doctor or allied health professional (physiotherapist or psychologist), our InitialCARE team coordinates an appointment with same day or next day access to our national practitioner treatment network.

Our network is the largest of its kind in Australia, with over 6500 medical practitioners, physiotherapists and psychologists across more than 2,500 locations.

By helping employees as soon as they are injured or ill at work, you will be maximising their recovery, health and work outcomes.

Key Features - Injury Management Services

Fully Customisable

You can also customise the service to suit your company’s specific requirements by using the nurse triage service only or bypassing it and having our team coordinate an appointment for an employee directly with one of our network practitioners. Our service can also be used for work or non-work related injuries and illnesses.

Nurse Triage Service

Provides a 24/7/365 hotline staffed by nurses who are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, specifically trained and experienced in providing triage services and advice on workplace injuries that support your employee to recover at work or to get back to work.

ImageCARE

Allows your employee to send an image of the injury directly to the triage nurse so the nurse can combine vital visual cues with the employee’s feedback to improve assessment, management and outcomes.

Practitioner Network

MAX Health is the only organisation in Australia which has dedicated nearly two decades to developing the largest national, independent, managed and accountable medical and allied health practitioner network for the effective treatment of work-related injuries.

In-House Doctors and Clinicians

Our in-house doctors and clinicians have at least 15 years of occupational health experience and specific training on advanced clinical triage protocols to support the nurse triage service and provide clinical governance to the service.

Telehealth Services

Telehealth services provide a safe, convenient and a flexible way for your injured employees to receive treatment services when they need it by allowing our network doctors, physiotherapists and psychologists to see, diagnose and treat patients without the need for an in-clinic consultation.
